Outline of Research at the Start

ワクチンを開発できないウイルス感染症の代表のひとつが猫伝染性腹膜炎である。さらに、治療法もまだ確立されていない。したがって、猫伝染性腹膜炎の予防法や治療法を確立することは喫緊の課題である。一方、麹菌などが産生する蛋白質分解酵素はウイルスを分解することで、感染を防ぐ作用があることが我々の研究で明らかになってきた。本研究では麹菌の抗ウイルス作用を明らかにして、猫伝染性腹膜炎の新たな治療法の確立を目指す。
