Outline of Research at the Start

ハエの嫌悪性匂い学習では記憶の形成や保持においてドパミンが重要な働きをする。我々はこれまでにドパミン神経は通常の活動電位依存的なドパミン放出機序に加えて、ドパミンを受け取る細胞によって誘導されるオンデマンド放出という新しい放出機序があることを見出してきた。本研究はこの2つの放出が上記の記憶におけるさまざまなフェイズにおいてどのように使い分けられているのかを行動実験や光イメージング解析を駆使して明らかにする。
