Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、ペプチド・タンパク質の化学合成技術を駆使して、抗がん剤の医薬シーズとなりうる『鏡像抗体様分子』を創製するための探索基盤技術を確立する。従前の研究課題で確立した「天然物・天然資源の鏡像体からの医薬シーズ探索技術」の適用範囲を抗体様分子に拡張することにより、鏡像抗体様分子の創薬スキャフォールド（モダリティ）としての価値を明らかにする。複数の鏡像型標的タンパク質と鏡像抗体様分子の化学合成を実現するとともに、さまざまな疾患に関わる標的タンパク質に対するスクリーニングによる抗がん剤候補化合物の探索を通して、鏡映変換の概念による新しい創薬研究の領域を開拓する。
