Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は「筋タンパクの合成・分解（動的代謝・ターンオーバー）が活発な骨格筋はストレスレジリエンスを強化する」という仮説を検証するため、マウスを用いて【1】動的代謝が活発・不活発な骨格筋におけるストレス負荷時の行動変容を比較し、【2】骨格筋から脳へのストレスレジリエンス強化メカニズムを解明するとともに、【3】ストレスレジリエンスの強化に貢献する骨格筋生成のための生活習慣基盤を構築し、【4】ヒトでの応用可能性を模索する。骨格筋量が多いだけで健康、という既成概念を覆す「活発な筋代謝が重要」という新たな「使える骨格筋」像を提案する。
