Outline of Research at the Start

海氷の挙動は地球温暖化に対して脆弱であり、分布や厚さの継続的な観測が重要である。現行の人工衛星搭載マイクロ波放射計の周波数帯は海氷厚の測定に限界があり、より低周波を用いた測定範囲の拡張が望まれるが、人工電波影響等の課題があり実現に至っていない。本研究は、500MHz-1.5GHz帯を用いた低周波ラジオメトリを開拓し海氷厚測定の高度化を目指す。高信頼人工電波除去はソフトウェア無線技術によるマイクロ波放射計のデジタル化により実現する。研究結果は海面塩分や土壌水分観測の高度化にも寄与すると共に、軌道上における自律的な人工電波除去や、リモートセンシング機器の小型化・汎用化にも貢献することが期待される。
