脱温暖化と資源効率・循環経済の2つの取組を統合していくことが求められているなかで、資源効率・循環経済に向けた各種取組の脱炭素化への貢献を評価するとともに、資源効率・循環経済と脱炭素化に関わるマクロな将来シナリオを構築する。また、シェアリングやサブスクリプション等の資源効率・循環経済に向けた「新しい」取組のライフサイクル的な評価手法が十分確立していないことから、その評価手法(比較対象の設定や評価範囲等に関する標準的な考え方)を確立する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In response to the need to integrate the two efforts of decarbonization and resource efficiency/circular economy, this study evaluated the contribution of various approaches toward resource efficiency/circular economy to decarbonization, and developed macro future scenarios related to resource efficiency/circular economy and decarbonization. As a necessary step, we discussed the life-cycle evaluation methods for "new" initiatives for resource efficiency/circular economy, such as sharing and subscriptions, based on several case studies, since the evaluation methods (standard approaches for setting comparison scenarios and the scope of evaluation, etc.) have not been fully established.

シェアリングやサブスクリプション等の資源効率・循環経済に関わる新たな取組は、そのライフサイクル的な評価手法が十分確立していない。本研究課題は、様々な取組ごとに、どのような場合に、どの側面を、どのような方法で評価すべきかについて議論・整理することを目的の一つとしており、この点に独自性がある。こうした評価手法の提示は、今後の関連研究に対して重要な指針になるとともに、個別の取組における貢献を積み上げ、マクロな貢献を評価する際にも有益なものである。
