Outline of Research at the Start

粒子線がん治療のうち、重イオンビームは高い殺細胞効果とシャープな線量分布を持ち、放射線抵抗の高いがんの治療や腫瘍への線量集中に有
利な特長を持つ。これを活かすためには重イオン核反応によるビーム強度減衰や、生成２次粒子について高精度な理解が必要である。本研究で
はこれらの複数の核反応物理量を同時測定する画期的実験装置を開発し、粒子線がん治療に必要な膨大な量の核データ取得を効率的取得するこ
とを目的とした研究である。
