Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、表面科学と放射光科学が融合した放射光表面構造科学の未到分野である超低温構造物性を開拓するために、放射光X線散乱を用いて1 K程度の超低温表面を原子レベルで観察できる手法の開発を目的とする。特に、超低温物理のプロトタイプであるヘリウム吸着グラファ イト系が形成する固相の原子配列構造を解明し、超低温物理における構造計測のブレイクスルーを起こす。
