Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、いわゆる非両立論的な自由意志概念に関する起源論的探求を行う。とりわけ、意思決定における主観的経験や、社会的行動における自由意志概念の適用に焦点を合わせ、それらに関する知見を統合しながら当該概念がいかにして形成され維持されるのかを検討する。さらに本研究は、決定論および非決定論が自由意志に対してもたらす脅威のもとで、自由意志や道徳的責任に関する諸概念がどのような仕方で改訂されるべきかを検討する。この概念工学的な展開にあたっては、これまでの自由意志論争自体を概念改訂の営みとして再解釈するメタ哲学的作業を同時に行うことで、概念改訂についての検討作業を一階の自由意志論争と連続化する。
