Outline of Research at the Start

小学校高学年での外国語(英語)教科化に伴い小中接続の重要性が高まっているが、言語習得の観点からの実証研究は進んでいない。特に小学校での活動の中心である「話すこと」の能力に関する客観的データや第二言語習得理論に基づいた研究は極めて少ない。本研究では、文産出に欠かせない統語(文構造)の知識に焦点をあてて、小・中学生の英語スピーキング能力の発達を縦断的に調査する。CBT方式のスピーキングタスクを開発して継続的に実施し、処理可能性理論の枠組みで統語発達の実態を解明するとともに、言語能力の重要な構成要素である語彙知識やリテラシースキルとの関連性を明らかにし、英語学習における統語発達のモデル化を試みる。
