Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、歴史の基礎である文書主義に立ち返り、史料を当時の社会の文脈で分析し、慰安婦の歴史を総合的に理解することを目的とする。
現在の慰安婦研究は、歴史や社会から断絶し、「政治化」された慰安婦を想起させる。しかし、慰安婦は言説ではなく、戦争を生きた人々である。彼女たちを人類学の包括的アプローチを用い、当時に再編成し、彼女たちがどのような社会的立場にあったかを詳らかにする。
本研究の対象地域インドネシアでは、旧植民地宗主国オランダがBC級戦犯裁判で強制売春を戦争犯罪としたため、慰安婦に関する数多くの訴追史料がある。慰安婦の尋問調書および証人調書も数多く、当事者の声を掬い上げることが可能と考える。
