Outline of Research at the Start

物理系を長時間放置すると熱平衡状態に達する「熱平衡化」は、平衡状態の統計力学の正当性にも関わる重要かつ基本的な問題である。近年、量子ダイナミクスの帰結として熱平衡化を理解しようという気運が盛り上がっているが、困難な問題も残っている。本研究では、平衡状態にある系を外部から操作した後の熱平衡化の有無を、外部からの作用に対する非線形応答の問題として定式化し、熱平衡化に対する新たな知見を得るとともに、非線形応答の一般的理論へのフィードバックも行う。
