Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、光照射スピンテクスチャ解明のために、実験室光源による軟X線磁気円二色性装置の開発を行うことである。光照射現象のうち、特に超短パルスレーザーの照射による磁化反転は、超高速かつ磁場を使わずに磁化を制御できる２点で画期的である。２種類以上の磁性元素を含むことが必要条件と考えられるため、元素ごとに磁性を観測できる軟X線による研究が必要となる。本研究では、レーザーをガスや固体にあてて発生する高次高調波軟X線を用いる。時間をフェムト秒、空間をサブミクロンで分解するような、新しいパラダイムでの磁気イメージングを行うことにより、レーザー励起磁化反転などの光照射スピンテクスチャの解明を目指す。
