Outline of Research at the Start

本研究ではこれまでに研究例の多い電気双極子・磁気双極子の組み合わせ以外の複数の多極子強秩序が混在する絶縁体の系を開拓する。そのうえで、電気磁気効果などの間接的なバルク測定に加えて、電気磁気光学効果や電場誘起旋光性・電場誘起ファラデー効果などの線形光学効果を相補的に用いた各多極子強秩序ドメインの直接観察・外場駆動を行うことで、多極子自由度間の相関・結合を実験的に明らかにする。これらを通じて、新しい交差相関物性応答を開拓することを目指す。
