Outline of Research at the Start

単一元素金属を静水圧縮場に置くことで、電子状態が超伝導状態の安定化に適した方向に変化することがある。本研究は、高圧力下で巨大ねじりを導入することで、単位砲レベルの格子ひずみや高圧結晶構造相を、応力解放後でも準安定的存在させ、そこに静水圧縮場では実現し得ない電子状態の発現を目指す研究である。また、磁気測定と電気抵抗測定に加えて、精密結晶構造と第一原理計算を行うことで、巨大ひずみ下で発現する超伝導の機構を解明する。さらに、高温下で巨大ひずみ導入し、仕事と熱エネルギーの両エネルギー付与による新たな超伝導物質合成法の開拓も目指す。このように、新規物質探索方法の開拓として独創性を有する研究である。
