Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、レーザーによって極低温まで冷却された原子気体を光格子に入れ、二次元の三角格子反強磁性モデルで記述できる物理系を実現し、三角格子フラストレーション系の研究に取り組む。光格子を形成するレーザー光強度を調整することで隣接スピン間の結合の空間異方性を制御し、二等辺三角形格子を系統的に調べる。これにより、二次元の空間異方的な三角格子反強磁性モデルで現れる量子相・量子現象を明らかにしていく。
