Outline of Research at the Start

高分子材料の物性の研究は数多く行われているものの、その多くは成形性や発現する物性を制御しより良い材料を作ることを目的としている。 しかし、作成した高分子材料は長い時間をかけて少しずつ変形していく。本研究では高分子材料がどのように変形していくのか、それはどのような物理に支配されているのかを明らかにすることを目的とする。 高分子の収縮挙動の測定等の各種実験手法と分子シミュレーション計算を組み合わせて高分子材料の収縮の物理的機構を調べ、扱いやすく物理的意味のとらえやすい粗視化理論モデルを構築する。
