Outline of Research at the Start

高効率プラズマ窒素固定の実現により,現在の化石燃料依存・高環境負荷型の窒素固定を,空気と再生可能エネルギーのみを利用する持続可能な窒素固定に転換できる.本研究では,これまで困難であった,高効率化に本質的役割を担う振動励起窒素反応過程の学術基盤確立を目的に,振動励起窒素のエネルギー遷移過程と振動励起窒素のプラズマ熱流体相互作用を実験的に解明する.具体的には,独自の過渡電界制御・非自己維持放電プラズマ源の開発により,随伴する他の活性窒素種の組成を制御し,振動励起状態を介したエネルギー輸送を実現し,高効率プラズマ窒素固定に向けた振動励起窒素を利用した新たな反応場創成を目指す.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,高効率プラズマ窒素固定において本質的役割を担うと期待される振動励起窒素を利用した,新たな窒素固定反応場の創成を目指す.特に本課題では,振動励起窒素のエネルギー遷移過程とそのプラズマ熱流体相互作用の解明することで,振動励起窒素の反応過程の学術基盤確立を目的とする.
特に本課題では,振動励起窒素に随伴する他の活性窒素種の組成を制御することを目指している.そこで,過渡電界制御プラズマ源を新たに開発し,振動励起窒素プラズマにおける活性窒素種の組成を制御し,振動励起窒素のエネルギー遷移過程とそのプラズマ熱流体相互作用を解明し,新たな窒素固定反応場の実現を目指す.
今年度は,振動励起窒素生成に随伴する他の活性窒素種の組成制御に向け,これまでの選択的振動励起プラズマ源である,ナノ秒パルス放電維持‐非自己維持直流放電(DC-NSSD)装置を,0.1気圧程度でのナノ秒パルス放電維持‐非自己維持高周波放電(RF-NSSD)への変更に向けた準備を行ってきた.また,振動励起窒素に随伴して生成されると考えられる活性窒素である電子励起状態窒素と窒素原子を計測するために,レーザー吸収分光装置並びにピコ秒パルスレーザーを用いた2光子吸収レーザー誘起蛍光法の構築を行ってきた.
さらに,振動励起窒素を大気圧下で実現する技術の構築と,時空間制御された活性窒素の反応場創成を目的とし,大気圧にて60kHzの高電圧交流パルス放電システムを用いて,窒素原子の反応場構築を行ってきた.この結果,大気圧にて液体の水と窒素の時空間制御された窒素反応場(1mm程度のスケールで1ms程度)を構築することができた.
