Outline of Research at the Start

反射型の宇宙マイクロ波背景放射 (CMB) 偏光観測望遠鏡では、アルミ等の金属を用いた反射鏡が用いられる。本研究では、その反射鏡の反射率を共振器の技術を使って高精度に測定する手法の確立を目指す。反射率が正確に測定できれば、反射鏡が黒体放射で生み出す疑似偏光信号も精度良く推定でき、その結果、CMB偏光観測の高精度化が実現できる。これにより、暗黒エネルギー探索のために必要な観測の高感度化を実現する。
