Outline of Research at the Start

イオン-極性分子反応は，その反応断面積が衝突エネルギーに反比例するために，低温での反応性が非常に高いことが知られている。そのため，星間分子生成過程におけるイオン-極性分子反応の重要性は星間化学分野において古くから指摘されてきた。しかし実験的研究が困難であるため，低温領域での反応速度定数の測定は殆ど行われていない。本研究の目的は，独自の実験装置と測定手法を用いることによって核量子効果を伴う低エネルギーイオン-極性分子反応を見出し，その反応の速度定数と分岐比の温度依存性を測定することである。また，実験値と理論値の比較を通して反応機構の理解を深め，星間化学及び反応物理化学分野の進展に貢献していく。
