Outline of Research at the Start

傾斜と電場(地電位差)の同時観測から水蒸気噴火を直前予測できるか検証する。電場観測では他の物理観測で計測できない地下水流動を間接的に推定できる。本研究の最初のステップとして２か所の間欠泉において傾斜、電場、可視映像の同時観測を２週間程度行い、地下圧力源と電場変動の時空間関係を明らかにする。次に３つの火山において傾斜と電場の長期観測(２年程度)を行い「傾斜変動を伴う火山性微動」により電場変動が観測されるか、されるとしたら地下圧力源とどのような時空間関係があるか確認する。以上の観測により得られた知見から、最終的に傾斜と電場観測による水蒸気噴火直前予測の有用性について結論を得る。
