Outline of Research at the Start

始原的なエネルギー代謝には亜硫酸が使われていたと考えられている。本研究では、亜硫酸を生成する可能性を持つ機能が未知のタンパク質複合体（sHdr）の触媒反応を生化学および構造生物学的に解明する。sHdrの触媒反応に重要なアミノ酸配列を情報学的に解析することで、亜硫酸を使うエネルギー代謝の進化起源を考察する。そして、本酵素および関連酵素の情報学的解析を通じて、始原的なエネルギー代謝の進化を再考する。
