Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では，高周波電流を利用した金属-半導体間の異材界面における原子の再配列を世界で初めて実現する．これは，電子と原子の力学的相互作用，すなわち電子風力を原子配列の「揺さぶり」として作用させることにより，自発的に原子を最小ポテンシャルエネルギーの位置へと再配列させる極めて独創的な手法である．これにより，結晶方位の整列，結晶粒の増大，最密結晶面の増加，点・線欠陥の消滅を誘起し，前人未到の異材界面における原子配列制御を実現し，半導体製造プロセスにおける原子スケール界面制御手法を創出する．
