Outline of Research at the Start

アーク放電を熱源としてワイヤ材料を溶融し積層する高能率な付加加工の手法において，異なる種類の金属を組み合わせたマルチマテリアル化により軽量性，強度や熱伝導性の異方性の制御，傾斜機能性，振動吸収性などの新たな機能性を付与する新造形手法を開発する．この方法において，①異種金属を組み合わせたマルチマテリアル造形が可能な条件範囲（プロセスウインドウ）の解明，②マルチマテリアル造形物の構造・形状・寸法と発現可能な機械的・熱的な機能性との関連の解明，③異種金属界面での溶融固化過程における合金層・金属間化合物層の生成と機械的特性への相互作用の解明に取り組む．
