Outline of Research at the Start

フリーピストン式リニア発電機(FPEG)は高効率な出力領域が限られていることから、その領域の発電出力で運転し、バッテリに電力を供給している。しかし、自動車走行の激しい負荷変動に対応するために、低効率領域での運転やバッテリ容量の大型化が課題となり、実用化の弊害となっていた。そこで、本研究は発電制御によるピストンの運動モード変更を利用し、高効率領域を拡大する可変圧縮比燃焼を実現する。これにより、負荷状況に応じて高効率な状態を維持とバッテリの小型化を達成する。本申請では、負荷追従発電制御により、最大エネルギー変換効率の運転領域を拡大し、負荷変動時における効率低下を抑制可能であることを明らかにする。
