Outline of Research at the Start

磁性ナノ粒子の磁化応答由来の磁気信号による腫瘍検出法や熱損失を利用したがん温熱治療が注目されている。本研究では、腫瘍病理（がん種・悪性度）の診断を非侵襲的に実現する、磁性ナノ粒子の磁化応答を介した腫瘍環境の可視化技術基盤の創成を目的とする。腫瘍環境に依存して磁性ナノ粒子の磁化応答が変化する点、がん種や悪性度ごとに腫瘍環境が特異的な点を基本原理として着想した。
磁性ナノ粒子を用いた、副作用や身体的負担の少ないがん検出・治療法に病理診断法を具備する。これにより、がん種判定や浸潤・転移性を非侵襲的に診断するブレークスルーを創出し、がん根治と患者の生活の質向上に貢献する。
