Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、高速光電流の時間分解検出のための新たな手法として、フェムト秒レーザー照射によるテラヘルツ波放射現象に注目する。テラヘルツ波放射の時間波形には、必然的に電流の時間特性の情報が含まれるため、その時間波形を正確に解析すれば、サブピコ秒の時間分解能で、電流の向きと振幅のダイナミクスや空間分布を非接触で抽出することが可能となると期待される。本研究では、様々な圧電体、強誘電体などのトポロジカル物質を対象として、テラヘルツ波放射現象を探索し、そのダイナミクスを抽出する新手法を開発する。
