Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では，吸湿水・毛管水・重力水といった土壌水の存在形態が湿潤土壌の誘電率に与える影響を明らかにし，土壌水分量と誘電率との関係を表現する誘電率モデルを改良する．誘電率モデルは，人工衛星からの地球環境リモートセンシングにおいて，土壌水分量を推定するためのアルゴリズムの一部として用いられている．しかし，土壌水分量と誘電率との関係には土性（砂や粘土の含有率など）依存性があるため，既存の誘電率モデルでは推定精度に地域依存性がある．本研究では，土壌水分特性に着目した新たな誘電率モデルを構築することで，世界各地の多様な土壌に対する土壌水分量のリモートセンシング精度向上を目指す．
