Outline of Research at the Start

我が国の上下水道等の水インフラは極めて高度化しているにもかかわらず、水環境中では人の健康リスクとなる病原微生物が検出されている。また、薬剤耐性菌（ARB）および薬剤耐性遺伝子（ARGs）の水環境への汚染拡大が問題視されており、薬剤耐性サイレントパンデミックも起こり得ると警鐘が鳴らされている。本研究の目的は、下水処理場からのARB・ARGs負荷低減のために、パルス電界印加消毒法を下水処理の最終過程である“消毒”の新たなオプションとして実用化レベルに引き上げること、および下水処理過程におけるARB・ARGsの包括的な消長を明らかにし、“消毒”技術に要求される削減率を定量的に理解することである。
