Outline of Research at the Start

宇宙機用電気推進機の一種であるホールスラスタには，「電離振動」と「周方向プラズマ回転現象」という２つの振動現象があり，どちらも推進性能の低下を招く．これらは推進機下流に存在する「仮想陰極領域」の“変形”に注目すると，統一的に扱える可能性がある．本研究では，この仮想陰極変形理論を実証し，この振動の低減策を見出す．仮想陰極領域の変形は推進機内部において電子電流量の軸方向成分と，周方向成分のバランスによって起きているものと考えられるため，本研究では，推進機内部のプラズマ諸量を分析し，仮想陰極領域が安定する電子電流バランスを探り，振動現象の抑制を図る．
