Outline of Research at the Start

防災・減災対策は、経験知として高度化してきた。しかし、最悪の災害シナリオを事前に想定し、合理的な対策を未然に打つべきである。地球温暖化の影響から毎年のように頻発する豪雨、発生確率が年々と高まる南海トラフ地震、またはそれらが複合した未曾有の災害と対峙していくには、経験知に替わる新たな未来知が必要であろう。そこで本課題では、これまでに長年培われてきた物理の経験知を埋め込んだ新たなデータインフォマティックスPEDI 「Physics Embedded Data Informatics」を構築し、災害規模、対策の有効性などの未来を事前に知る“未来知”のリアルタイム化を図る。
