Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、代謝工学に進化工学を組み入れた“代謝進化工学”という概念を発展させるため、合成生物学の技術をベースとした微生物の代謝経路や酵素を迅速に最適化するための新たな手法を開発する。これまでに開発してきた人工転写因子型およびGPCR型の酵母メタボライトセンサを用いることで、膨大なライブラリから代謝向上株の選抜が可能となり、代謝や酵素の進化工学を推進することができる。具体的には、代謝酵素群の遺伝子ソース探索や発現量バランスの最適化など、多様な候補・組み合わせを発生させた中から最適解を見出す進化工学ベースの代謝改変の方法論を構築する。
