Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、熱エネルギーの高度な利用に向けて、光子と電子系のハイブリッド量子である励起子ポラリトン状態を1,000度以上の高温で実現し、その熱放射特性の解明を目指す。具体的には、カーボンナノチューブを基盤とした耐熱性の高い複合ナノ材料を作製し、光共振器と組み合わせることで、電子系と熱光子の混成状態である熱励起子ポラリトン状態を実現させる。さらに、その熱放射特性を測定・解明することで、熱放射の波長自在制御や高強度化を可能にするような、機能的な熱光エネルギー変換の学理の開拓を目指す。
