Outline of Research at the Start

２つの異なる強磁性層（金属と酸化物絶縁体）を組み合わせ、界面に効率的に電圧（電界）を印加することで期待される巨大な磁気電圧効果を実証し、次世代スピントロニクスに向けた新たな電圧磁化反転手法として提案をする。具体的には、絶縁性酸化物強磁性薄膜と金属強磁性薄膜の2層間に交換磁気結合が生じている系に電圧印加を行うことで、強磁性界面の電子状態密度を変化させる。その結果として2層の強磁性膜間の層間交換結合が変化しうることを実験的に示すことを目標とする。異常ホール効果をプローブとして強磁性金属層の磁化過程のみを選択的に検出することで、層間交換結合強度とその符号、さらに界面磁気異方性を分離して評価する。
