Outline of Research at the Start

本研究ではまず、金属ホウ化物の金属イオンをイオン交換によってプロトンやアルカリイオンやアンモニウムイオンと量を制御して交換し、新しい物質群を創出し評価します。これらの物質に共通する特性や安定性などを基礎科学的に明らかにします。次にこれらの物質に対して、炭素や窒素などの典型元素のドープや欠陥導入を行い、電子状態の変化と物性変化の起源を、ドーパント導入量の関数として行う計測を軸に基礎科学的に明らかにします。最後に、これらの新物質群それぞれの特性を活かし高機能触媒・高密度水素吸蔵材料・特異な電気特性などの実現に繋げます。以上より、特異な性質を持った新しい3次元ホウ化水素関連物質群を創出させます。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、我々が世界で初めて単離生成を実現したホウ化水素シートの合成法を3次元金属ホウ化物に適用し、3次元フレームワーク構造を持つ新しいホウ化水素関連物質群を創出することを目的としています。ホウ化水素シートは二ホウ化マグネシウムのMgイオンを水素の陽イオンと交換して生成した2次元物質です。本研究では、六ホウ化カルシウム(CaB6)のようなホウ素の3次元骨格を持つ金属ホウ化物群に対して、この方法を適用し新しい3次元物質群を試みてきました。具体的には、強酸性陽イオン交換樹脂とCaB6をアセトニトリル中に共存させ、室温で4日間マグネティックスターラーで攪拌することにより、CaB6のCaカチオンをプロトンと交換させるイオン交換反応を試みました。反応後に樹脂と分離し乾燥させた反応生成物をX線光電子分光で分析したところ、Bに対するCaの量がCaB6と比べて約半分に減っていることが示されました。また、エチレンジアミン四酢酸二ナトリウムを用いたイオン交換や合成時間の延長など様々な合成条件で実験を行いましたが、いずれの結果もCaが約半分減ることが示されました。また、試料中の水素量を調べるために熱重量示唆熱測定と昇温脱離測定を行った結果、400 K以上で水素(H2)の放出が認められ、試料の重量減少も認められました。以上よりCaB6 + H+ → HCa0.5B6 + 0.5Ca2+のイオン交換反応が起こったことが示唆されました。今後、構造解析や他の物質群への適用などを行い、3次元フレームワーク物質群の構築を実現する予定です。

新しい3次元構造体が再現よく形成していることが示されており、おおむね順調に進展している。一方で結晶構造解析では母物質との区別化ができておらず、表面層以外でのイオン交換の進行が起きていない可能性があり、引き続き慎重に合成と解析を行う必要があるため、(2)とした。

新しい3次元構造体が再現よく形成していることが示されており、おおむね順調に進展している。一方で結晶構造解析では母物質との区別化ができておらず、表面層以外でのイオン交換の進行が起きていない可能性があり、引き続き慎重に合成と解析を行う予定である。
