Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、超薄膜化によりMott絶縁体に転移するSrVO3へキャリアドープすることによって新奇電子相を探索する。バルク単結晶以上の高品質結晶の薄膜成長が可能な有機金属ガスソース分子線エピタキシー（ガスソースMBE）を用い、SrVO3量子井戸構造の二次元Mott絶縁体を高品質に作製し、La元素置換による電子ドープで絶縁体－金属転移を試みる。量子井戸構造を用いることで、キャリア密度、膜厚による次元性、エピタキシャル歪み変化によってMott転移臨界付近で実験的に多くのパラメーターを変調することが可能になる。この量子井戸構造から、超伝導などの新奇電子相の発現を目指す。
