Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では「三次元芳香族性」というクラスター錯体に特有の性質を、化学反応の駆動力として活用した、新しい触媒系の開発を目的とする。クラスター内部の芳香族ネットワークに対し、外部分子がアクセスできる「アンテナ」を組み込むことで、イオン化学種の特性を劇的に変化させることができると着想した。具体的には、ホウ素クラスターのカルボランを触媒プラットフォームとして、高活性イオン種を駆使した高難度化学変換の実現を目指す。
