Outline of Research at the Start

オリゴ糖は糖が2つ以上つながった糖鎖であり、天然に大量に存在する多糖の部分構造であると同時に、それ自体が糖鎖として機能する有用な分子である。研究代表者らは電気化学的手法によるオリゴ糖合成が合成の自動化や効率化に有用であることを見出し、これまでに環状オリゴ糖を含む、様々なオリゴ糖の合成を達成してきた。本研究で単糖から環状オリゴ糖をフラッシュ合成する手法が確立できれば、オリゴ糖合成にイノベーションが起こると期待される。
