Outline of Research at the Start

気相イオンの質量を計測する質量分析法において、気相イオンの分解の制御は重要であるが、分解過程において最も重要な物理量である気相イオンの温度の計測は困難であった。本研究は、これまでに開発した「温度計イオン」をプローブとする「気相イオンの温度計測法」を用いて、質量分析装置内における気相イオンの分解の制御を目指す。特に、質量分析で生体分子を分析する際の誤同定の原因となるイオン化と同時に起こる気相イオンの分解について着目し、気相イオンの温度上昇を抑制した気相イオンの分解を伴わないイオン化法の実現を目指す。本研究により、気相イオンの分解に伴う分子の誤同定を防ぎ、化学分析の高精度化への寄与が期待される。
