Outline of Research at the Start

我々は、現在の磁気情報媒体メーカーが広く汎用に使用している真空製膜手法を用いた、次世代・量産型量子材料の開発を目指している。独立した磁性原子を有機分子で架橋し、磁性原子数十個を含むメゾ領域の二次元量子スピン系を基板表面上で人工的に構築する。量子スピン系と電子結合することのない特殊な基板を用いることが肝要である。開発と計測は全て空気の無い超高真空環境にて行う。原子イメージングが可能な走査トンネル顕微鏡装置に可視光とマイクロ波を導入し、量子スピンのラビ振動計測を目指す。
