Outline of Research at the Start

幼若ホルモン（JH）生合成器官であるアラタ体での生合成制御機構に関しては，未だ不明な点が多い．これまで応募者は，アラタ体におけるJH生合成酵素遺伝子群の発現を一括して制御する新規転写因子（JH master regulator，JHMR）の単離に成功し，その機能解析から「JH生合成を停止する因子の存在」と「胚期におけるJHMRの新規機能」に関する仮説を導き出した．そこで本研究では，JHMRが関わる未解明なJH生合成制御機構を解析すると共に，JHMRの胚期における新たな機能を明らかにすることで，JHMRが関わる昆虫の新規発育制御メカニズムを解明する．
