Outline of Research at the Start

細胞壁主成分のひとつであるリグニンは、組織・細胞・細胞壁内のスケールにおいて不均一な構造を有している。しかしながら現時点でリグニンの構造情報を最も網羅的に解析可能な13C-NMR法は、必要な試料量が多く、微小領域のみを対象とした分析は困難である。そこで本研究では、独自に開発した環境制御型グロースチャンバーを用いて13CO2を投与しながら植物を育成し、高13C試料を得る。さらに非加熱マイクロダイセクション法により熱劣化を防ぎながら特定部位を顕微収集する技術を確立し、高感度NMR法による局所的なリグニン化学構造の定量分析を実現
する。
