Outline of Research at the Start

セルロース微結晶は磁気異方性を有するので磁場配向することが知られているが、磁場強度と配向度との関係など分かっていないことも多い。一方、セルロース以外の多糖の磁場配向は試みられてこなかった。そこで本研究では、セルロース、キチン、ヘミセルロースなどの多糖の微結晶を調製し、それらの磁場配向挙動を明らかにする。そして、微結晶の磁場配向とX線回折を組み合わせることにより、精度の高い結晶構造解析手法を確立することを目指す。
