Outline of Research at the Start

水産用ワクチンは主に注射法により投与されているが、注射法はストレスに弱い魚種には適用できず、労働コストが高いため低価格の魚種にも使用できない。経口投与法は理想的なワクチン投与法と言われており、注射投与のできない魚種にも十分適用できるが、その作用機序については不明な点が多い。我々は、魚類の腸管では杯細胞が主にワクチンを取り込むことを明らかにしており、取り込まれたワクチンはマクロファージに引き渡され、腸管粘膜固有層で処理されることを明らかにした。本研究では、魚類の局所粘膜免疫機構の存在を証明し、その誘導機序に迫る
