Outline of Research at the Start

ヘルパーT細胞は免疫系の制御を担う白血球であり、CD4分子がヘルパーT細胞のマーカーとして用いられている。魚類では2種類のCD4分子(CD4-1、CD4-2)が存在し、「CD4-1+/CD4-2+（CD4両陽性）Th細胞」と「CD4-2+ Th細胞」の2種類のTh細胞がする。本研究では、申請グループによりこれらTh細胞およびB細胞の検出・解析法が整備されているニジマスをモデル動物として、CD4-1+/CD4-2+両陽性Th細胞とCD4-2+ Th細胞の機能の違いおよび組織間における性状の差異を調べ、粘膜組織におけるTh細胞の役割を明らかにする。
