Outline of Research at the Start

畦畔やその周辺で、雑草の生長と植生を認識しながら作業する小型の踏圧ロボットを用いて、被覆植物の優占化による持続的な雑草管理を行う技術を開発する。地表面の広葉植物での被覆は抑草に有効であるが、他の雑草が旺盛になると抑草効果が低減する。そこで、踏圧ロボットでの定期的な管理により被覆植物の優占化を試みる。本研究では、最初に、踏圧の被覆植物や他の雑草への作用を調査し、踏圧の影響を推定する踏圧モデルを作成する。次に、畦畔などの画像から被覆植物と他の雑草とを識別し、局所的な踏圧の必要度を判断できる踏圧ロボットを開発する。さらに、これらの開発技術の実際の抑草への供試・検証を行い、導入の方策を示す。
