Outline of Research at the Start

哺乳類の卵は受精後の発生を支える能力（発生能）を有しているが、その分子実体はよくわかっていない。我々はこれまでマウスモデルを用いて、卵のクロマチンに付加された母性ヒストン修飾が受精後の胚発生に重要な機能を発揮することを見出してきた。本研究では、ウシ卵・初期胚における母性ヒストン修飾の機能解明に取り組み、ウシ卵の発生能を下支えする分子機序を明らかにする。
