Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、PbRC、PSIIにおける電荷分離反応がなぜ片方の電子移動経路のみ優先的に起こるか等の電子移動経路選択律を、蛋白質結晶構造に基づいた理論化学的手法で解析する。結晶構造の座標さえあれば解析できるため、（実験では電子移動が起こらないため直接測定不可能な）不活性側の電子移動経路の電子移動カップリングも明らかにできる。特に、応募者の知る限り、本研究対象において結晶構造で得られたタンパク質静電場環境を完全に取り込んだ上で電子移動カップリングを計算した例はない。
