Outline of Research at the Start

細胞の目覚めの際は、細胞内で一体何が起きているのかという細胞生物学の基本となる課題にとりくみ、植物種子の休眠と目覚め、また動物細胞におけるがん化や組織の再生における休眠打破機構の解明に取り組む。そのために、どのようなシステムが細胞内で働くのか、また、特定の遺伝子のmRNAが減少する分子機構を解明したい。同様に、各種の細胞内分子分解機構の関与も明らかにする。また、本研究課題を遂行するにあたり、ATAC-seq法を中心として、クロマチン状態を判定するための技法を分裂酵母胞子に対して、かつシングルセルレベルで実施する技術を開発することを目指す。
