Outline of Research at the Start

脳室下帯と呼ばれる特殊な領域では、例外的に生後もニューロンが産生され、脳梗塞巣へ移動して組織再生に関わる。我々は新生ニューロンの定着位置が機能再生効率に重要であることを示したが、定着後の分化や神経回路形成過程には不明な点が多い。本研究ではこのメカニズムを解析し、内在する新生ニューロンが構築する再生システムの可能性と限界を明らかにする。更にこの機構を操作して再生を促進する方法を提示する。
